What you need to pay ...
Annual Subscription £25 (2009-10 reviewed annually to match Ulster Guiding affiliation fee) Weekly Collection 50p
Where your money goes ...
The Annual Subscription is paid to Girl Guiding UK for each Guide and Guider. As a unit we do not receive any money from this payment. The affiliation fee is typically broken down to include payments to division (SE Belfast), county (Belfast), province (Ulster) as well as CHQ in London. We ask each Guide to pay this amount up front so we don't have to spend a lot of time on fund-raising events throughout the year.
The weekly subscription of 50p is spent on running costs such as materials for activities eg. craft & cooking or for subsidising outings. We use the donations raised from sale of goods from the Webb Ivory catalogue to subsidise the weekly subscription towards general running costs.
Who to pay ...
You can make payments to us by cash or by cheque. Cheques should always be made payable to 30th Belfast Guides.

2010 WEBB IVORY FUND-RAISING CATALOGUES NOW AVAILABLE
What is it? The sale of Christmas cards, wrapping paper and gifts through the Webb Ivory Catalogue is our main source of fund-raising. It allows us to generate funds needed for activities without having to increase weekly collections. It is also an easy way for friends & family to help with very little effort. For every £1 you spend in the catalogue we receive up to 25p as a donation back to the unit. In the past some folk have placed large orders & their generosity has really helped when numbers are low or attendance is poor. Thanks for all your generosity in this endeavour.
How do I order? If you are ordering from the Webb Ivory Catalogue please use the order forms provided in the catalogue as far as possible to ensure you include the correct details so your order is clear and correct. Check the product number you have written matches the catalogue item and that the quantity you have requested is correct. It is also very important to double check personalised details as these items can not be refunded unless the item is faulty.
How do I pay? We generally ask that you pay when you order as this means that if your order arrives in a number of deliveries we can pass on the items to you as they arrive and are not chasing you for different amounts of money each week. Payments can be made by cheque payable to 30th Belfast Guides or by cash. If items are no longer available you will receive a refund.
What if I am not happy with an item? If you are dissatisfied with any of the items you have ordered or if an item is incomplete or broken you can return it to us and we will arrange for Webb Ivory to collect it for a full refund. NOTE however that as mentioned previously personalised items can not be returned unless there is a genuine problem with the item e.g. damaged.
When do I need to return my order? It is vital that you return your order ASAP to ensure items are still in stock. To save on the cost of postage and packaging we place as few orders as possible since this is calculated per order. This means we can receive as much money for the unit as possible from the donations generated. If we have already placed our order late orders will only be accepted if the donation generated is enough to at least cover the cost of P&P on the order - this may mean that we make no money from the order.
